They might not know about the Honda racing F1 team that is a Formula one team that is run by the famous Japanese car manufacturer, Honda. The Honda racing F1 team is based in Brackley, U.K. and they use the facilities that were used by the former BAR (British American Racing). BAR was acquired by Honda way back in 2005. The engines that are used over here are manufactured by the Honda research & development facility that is based in Tochigi, Japan.

Many people were surprised when Honda entered the Formula One Grand Prix racing in the year 1963. This was due to the fact that only three years had passed since they had produced their first car. The year 1962 saw the development of RA271 and with this the all Japanese factory team of Honda, apart from the American drivers had startled the Formula One garages, that used to be dominated by European teams. Apart from BRM and Ferrari, Honda was the only one who had built its own chassis and engine.
