The car company is making continuous studies on the technologies of bioethanol production in collaboration with Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth or RITE. The research processes began in 2006, with experiments done in a facility of Honda, the Fundamental Technology Research Center since April 2007.

The cellulosic ethanol process of the RITE-Honda partnership makes use of genetically modified Corynebacterium glutamicum to be able to produce ethanol out of combined sugars. Last November 2008, RITE-Honda had won the Grand Prize of the 18th Nikkei Global Environment Technology Award for their outstanding contribution to biofuel research industry.

Honda decided to create a new research and development institute for them to speed up the production and practical use of their latest technology. It is indeed needed to carry out the research and experiments on a large scale facility to allow them to obtain precise evaluations.

The planned facility, Honda R&D Co., Ltd. Fundamental Technology Research Center, will be constructed within Kazusa Akademia Park located in Kisarazu, Chiba. The car company is intending to construct a single building measuring 1,050 m2 for a research facility on a 5,000 m2 lot. On April 2009, the construction will start to be able to start the facility’s operations in November 2009.

There are some car manufacturers that rest on their laurels and then there are some who strive to take their successful car to greater heights. They never rest on their laurels and go as far as trying to improve the quality and build of the car by as much as a factor of 10. It takes a lot of courage to even think about this, far less attempt it, but this is exactly what the engineers at Honda have been doing, and doing it quite successfully too.

More than a decade has passed since the Civic manufactured by Honda has made its debut and this car had set the subcompact segment on fire due to its comfortable cabins, driving comfort, efficiency and quality. The Civic is listed among the top five among the best selling cars and this should have satisfied the engineers at Honda, but no. They are determined to make this car even better and keeping this in mind the engineers of Honda in Ohio and at Japan are leaving no stones unturned to improve the quality of the Civic.

Their dream is to produce Civics that will have more space for people and also boast of larger yet efficient engines. They also want to increase the levels of safety and comfort. It is due to these efforts that the new range of Honda Civics have greater car fuel efficiency (to make this an environmentally friendly car!), have more cabin and passenger space and also boast of increased comfort levels.

If you are the proud owner of a Honda car and have not as yet switched over to the newer and cheaper means of fuel, you should do so immediately, using Honda alternative car fuels will ensure that you run your Honda car for longer stretches without the costs of normal fuel pinching your pocket and also at the same time get the warmth of the feeling that you are one of the responsible group of people who acre for the environment.

If you are using these other types of fuels, you are in fact actively helping to keep the earth green by using your Honda alternative car fuels. Any fuel that is to be used for driving cars and especially Honda alternative car fuels should be easily accessible and they should be easily transportable too.

One should be able to get the Honda alternative car fuels as and when they want. Most of the fuels that the car users are using right at the moment are not green. They pollute the atmosphere with their car’s emissions. Those who will be using Honda alternative car fuels will be helping others to keep the world green and free from ozone and other discharges. In fact not only are the users of Honda alternative car fuels saving the atmosphere, they are saving the precious and limited reserve of petrol and diesel that the world is left with. A day will soon come when all the users of Honda cars will just be using Honda alternative car fuels for their vehicles.
